Trowell Garden Centre is an independent family-run garden center and it all started in the summer of 1976 when David and Barbara Henshaw started selling some on the site of two old locksmiths' cottages next to the old Nottingham Canal in the village of Trowell. Auckland Horticultural Institute-trained David runs a landscaping business under the name Notts County Nursery, and his father Arthur is a former maths teacher and RAF veteran. As family garden center businesses with roots in a passion for plants, they strive to continue to provide their customers with quality plants and products while providing them with top-notch customer service. Over the years, their product range has expanded to offer their customers more choice, and with the addition of the family-friendly Digg Cafe in 2014, they have been able to provide an attractive place to meet and dine.
