The Botanist at Bruichladdich Distillery's Botanist staff are no exception. The Botanist needs to govern and manage their influence on the community as a B Corp and a socially responsible employer. Mandating time for volunteering is certainly on the table; in the year leading up to the pandemic, 484 hours were devoted to volunteer work, but that's just the beginning, according to head of HR Emma Crawford. "The Botanist always wants to support people in giving back to the community, especially through the emergency services," she says.
