The Scotsdale story started more than 50 years ago in the UK when it was founded as one of the country's first nursery communities. They began in Great Shelford, which was a nursery that provided flower for sale at discount markets. In 1968, they took over running this business and continued to do so successfully. They developed into the stunning collection of Cambridgeshire garden shops that you know today by building up their old nursery nurseries with an open current retail building during the 1980s. Scotsdale started to expand in 1991 with the acquisition of Fordham Nursery. Although this continues to work as an effective advertisement garden center, in 2013 its little store was converted into a garden shop with an extremely well known bistro overlooking the plant division.
