Shinichi Haraki founded The Works Inc and the Iron Heart brand in 2002. After 20 years in the Japanese apparel industry, initially as a pattern maker for Edwin and later as a designer and producer/director for the company, he decided to combine his vast experience gained through his passion for motorcycles. And it started his own clothing line, focusing on heavyweight denim and durable fabrics, designed and aimed at the Japanese motorcycle community. Iron Heart's is headquartered in Japan, with offices in Shibuya, central Tokyo, and Haraki-san's hometown, Hachioji, on the outskirts of Tokyo. There are Tiexin stores in Tokyo, Osaka, and Kojima. The Japanese businessman Haraki san hired Giles Padmore to oversee overseas operations in 2005.
